Tattoo Artist: Kate Hellenbrand
Kate Hellenbrand - aka Shanghai Kate started tattooing back before it was legalized in New York. 
Kate is a pioneer in tattoo history. She's worked with Huck Spaulding, Jack Rudy, Ed Hardy, Sailor Jerry and other recognizable tattoo celebrities. Kate is writing a book telling the story of her career, her travels and adventures. She likes to hit the road and visit shops in all corners of the world. Some of what she finds disappoints her - the crop of shops that have grown from greedy business people just looking to make a buck on a popular industry. The artists are miserable, the owners manage the shop via web cams. She's an interesting character with an interesting past - the book should be a winner.
