Tattoo Artist: Katelyn Crane
To give you a gauge as to the talent of Katelyn Crane, she apprenticed under Mike DeVries, one of the most well respect tattoo artists in the business. She met him through a friend’s introduction and DeVries did her first two tattoos.
Her then boyfriend had apprenticed with him and felt that Katelyn had the artistic ability to do well as a tattoo artist. He encouraged her to seek an apprenticeship with DeVries and as it turned out, she now works in his shop – MD Tattoo Studio. She says that he pushed her and always wanted her to do better and he showed her everything he had learned about the craft.
Besides being well known for her colorful artistic skills, Katelyn is known for her positive attitude. She feels every day is a learning process, and she appreciates the little things. She doesn’t want to just “get through” life – she wants to make the most of every day of her life.
