Tattoo Artist: Chris Dingwell
Chris Dingwell is a tattoo artist as well as talented fine artist. He graduated from Ohio State with a Masters Degree in Fine Arts. He likes to paint as well as do sculptural work. Dingwell says that he translates his painting into his tattoo work and also finds his knowledge of sculpture to convert tattoo images on the contour of the body.
He began his tattoo career in 1994 and is proficient in many styles of tattoo work. His color work simulates his paintings with vibrant color. He’s also talented with black and gray portrait work. He’s able to replicate his paining talent to skin.
All of his tattoo art is original and customized for each client. Earlier this year (2011), he began working out of his one man studio in downtown Portland. Sounds very intimate and interesting.
