Tattoo Artist: Jeff Gogue
Jeff Gogue began his full time career as a tattoo artist in August of 2000. He is a self taught artist which I think speaks highly of people that come from a similar background. It’s not always possible to go the traditional apprenticeship route.
Ironically, he says necessarily striving to achieve photo realism although much of his work is so detailed that is your first thought. Based on the biography found on his sight he is constant pursuit of lifting his talent to the next level and improving in any way possible. He says he is striving for a creative and dynamic style. He uses detail where it is called for and a more loose style when that is more appropriate.
He is currently so overwhelmed with eager customers that he has completely shut down from taking on any new appointments. I’m not sure how far in advance he’s booked but you know you’ve made it when you have to cut off your clientele because there’s only so much time in the day. He deserves his following and it seems as if he is appreciated for his art. On his site he is now selling prints of his artwork. If you can’t get on his waiting list, at least you can enjoy his art in another form.
