Tattoo Artist: Tony Weintraud
Tony Weintraud, a.k.a. Tattoo Tony, has been tattooing since 1996. Even though Tony had a background in graphic design and fine art, he did his apprenticeship the old fashioned way.
The place he started was called Rudy’s and it’s located in Hatfield, Pretoria – South Africa.
The shop had a good reputation for being clean and for the good clean tattoo work that came out of the shop. Eventually the original proprietor left to move overseas and Tony eventually bought the shop.
He enjoys when his customers have trust in him and urge him to use his artistic freedom. He says he has no preference - that he’ll tattoo just about anything you ask for. A look at his site and his portfolio will back this up. It’s a nice variety of styles and topics. Hopefully Rudy will do some traveling so some of us can see some of his work close up.
