Myke Chambers tattoos like he was living in the times of Bert Grimm, Sailor Jerry, and Gus Wagner. After reading his bio, it felt like Myke was meant to live in days gone by. The beginning of his life was no picnic, with Myke leaving home at the young age of 15. He experienced the country by riding trains across the country, leading a vagabond style of life and learning to survive. Fortunately, he found his calling with an apprenticeship in 1994. Although addiction delayed his dedication to his art, Myke eventually overcame his demons to emerge as a man dedicated to his profession with a clear head on his shoulders.
Myke’s work is very easy to describe – Traditional Americana- Old School style. He puts his own spin and style into his tattoos but you can see that he was meant to tattoo traditional tattoos. He does it SO well.
Myke keeps a humble outlook and places the emphasis on the client. You won’t find attitude in his shop.
This artist loves to collaborate with the client to come up with a unique one of a kind design. He believes in bonding with the client and not treating them like a number. He makes the experience a special one.
He owned his own shop located in Austin Texas. He invests a lot of time on the convention circuit and loves to travel with his art.
