Tim Orth was one of the lucky artists who had parents who noticed he had artistic talent even at a young age and were supportive and encouraging. Even at the age of only six years old, his parents were sending him for art lessons at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
He even attended Milwaukee High School of the Arts and leaped from high school right into his current career as a tattoo artist.
Since Tim is equally talented in all types of work – color, black and grey, portrait – he’s been asked what he considers his favorite type of work. His preference is to work on female images but what is most important to him is the relationship he feels with the art. The relationship or passion is key to a good tattoo art. Orth say he enjoys working on female images.
Orth is able to use color and highlighting to give his tattoos a feeling of jumping right out from the skin surface.
Orth likes to travel although and has worked in California, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota and Wisconsin. He currently works out of Relic Tattoo located in Garberville, CA.
Besides being a fantastic artist, Orth is also a family man and an outdoorsman.
