Tim is the type of tattoo artist that believes in keeping the history that the industry was built on alive and well. He holds a high regard to the industry as well as believing in paying respect to the patrons of the art.
Tim is well known for his ability to design and carry out outstanding cover-ups. He has the artistic eye that is needed to know what will work to not only cover up the tattoo in question, but to cover it up with a beautiful piece of artwork. His reputation is such that he has been asked to conduct classes, private lessons and write a book. But as Tim explains it and as is the case with many talented artists, the talent he has is difficult to teach and pass on to others.
He and his wife operate a joint artistic business, Art Machine, out of their warehouse loft. They have gallery shows, lectures, and are very active in the artistic community.
Pangburn excels in all aspects of tattoo work – black and grey, Japanese, traditional, and new school. His color tattoo work is very bright and vivid with color.
Maybe Pangburn’s success is partly attributable to his beliefs and studies of Eastern philosophy. He describes himself as a “spiritual guy who believes in science.”
